Share in our Ministry

Our volunteers are people from all walks of life, all ages, all skill levels and backgrounds.  What they have in common is the desire to serve and make a difference in someone else's life.

Thank you for your interest in the Urban.  You can jump right into our Ministry today!  Consider some of the following opportunities:

 

Meal Teams

Check your church bulletins to see if you can join a meal team within your congregation.  If there are no teams at this time, consider starting one.  Check our calendar here on our website for empty dates and contact rhonda@theurban.ca to add your meal team to the calendar.

 

Worship

Share your musical talent or offer to help with a bible reading.  We provide a service every Sunday and there are many ways to become engaged.

 

Event Planning

Support our activities by helping to plan regular or special events.

 

Share your Talent

• craft/art lessons

• organizational and mentoring abilities for life skill coaching

• natural helper skills to assist with those experiencing change and loss

• music and art instruction talents

Share your Time

• help with  children's arts & crafts and story reading

• sharing expertise in health instruction (diabetes education, nutritional counselling, etc.)

• assisting with organization of donated items
